Bida Manda is a thoughtful and sharp gathering place celebrating the culture and diverse food traditions of Laos. Sanskrit for father and mother, my sister and I name the restaurant Bida Manda as our way of honoring our parents in Laos who taught us everything we know about food, hospitality, and the power it has in bringing people together. Nestled between lush green hills and the Mekong River, Laos’ dynamic cuisine reflects its intimate relationship with nature, generous culture, and French colonial past. Inspired by our parents’ recipes and seasonal ingredients, Bida Manda’s menu is a flavorful marriage of Vietnamese and Thai cuisines, intricately refined with French sensibility. Each dish is thoughtfully crafted with fresh ingredients, bright flavors, and vibrant fragrances our family has perfected over generations. In the spirit of Laotian hospitality, our bar offers creative cocktails and proudly pairs the award-winning BeerLao with draughts from local North Carolina breweries.
