“Wanda is the furthest patrolled beach north on the Cronulla stretch. It is a sand beach and a may have a smaller crowd due to”
Wanda, an Aboriginal word for beach or sand hills, is the northernmost patrolled beach along the Bate Bay coastline in Cronulla. The 1.5 kilometre sandy beach is patrolled from November to April by Sutherland Shire Council's professional lifeguards together with volunteer lifesavers from Wanda Surf Club. Be mindful of rips and always swim between the red and yellow flags. Deep rips and bars can combine to produce some excellent beach breaks making it a popular surf spot.
