“Bates Motel A&E Psycho Filming location”

Filming location of A&E's new show "Bates Motel. The motel and house are extremely close replicas of the original 'Psycho' set which was shot on the Universal studio lot in Hollywood. The set has recently had additions such as a roof on the main house - which previously had been added digitally in Season 1. Now filming for season 2 has begun a roof has been added, making this a really creepy looking place! The motel and house are visible from the roadside from behind a security fence. Bates Motel is produced by Universal Television for A&E Network.

Wife and I just drove by Aldergrove's Bates Motel film site. Gorgeous setting of the actual Hotel house and hotel itself. Recommend swinging by this if you're in the Vancouver area and a Bates fan.

The location of the original movies is at Universal Studios in LA. You can see it if you take the studio back lot bus tour. You'll also see ol' Norman Bates walk out and put a dead chick in his car.

Has anyone been to Bates Motel TV set Canada recently. I'd like to go up there sometimes in March to get a good photos. but I don't wanna go up there if it's boarded up. are they in production right now? What is the best time, month to go up there?
