There’s nothing like Christmas in New York City; the decorations and storefronts, the people all bundled up in the snow, the ice skating and hot chocolate…. it’s a truly magical place. Loads of movies have sought to capture that special something that makes Christmas in the Big Apple so special: some of the films that have done it best are Elf, Miracle on 34th Street, and, of course, the ever-classic Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

In honor of the iconic film’s 25th anniversary (doesn’t that make you feel old?) the Plaza Hotel is offering up some experiences to help its guests “Live Like Kevin”, the precocious and resourceful kid (played by an adorable Macauley Culkin) who winds up in New York City alone over Christmas. The hotel’s special package includes a Home Alone 2 backpack, a limited edition commemorative paint can that contains all five Home Alone DVDs (yes, there really are five), and an in-room sundae inspired by the one Kevin ordered.

You also get access to the Plaza’s Home Alone 2 photo booth experience, so you can feel like you’ve lived out Kevin’s adventure, and the chance to order off a special, 90s-junk-food-inspired menu from Todd English Food Hall. Enjoy a gourmet Lunchable and a Zima, courtesy of the Plaza’s finest! It’s nice to know that the Plaza is endorsing this since in the movie, the staff seemed plagued by Kevin. But maybe bring along your Talkboy, just in case.

There are also concierge extras you can add on to really get the full Kevin McCallister experience. Snag express passes to the top of the Empire State Building, take advantage of access to Wollman Rink, or go for a 4-hour limousine tour of filming locations (presumably with a cheese pizza). Tim Curry not included, unfortunately.

Rates for the package start at $895, which is actually less than the $967 bill Kevin racked up during his stay. The experience is being offered between Friday, December 1, 2017, and Thursday, November 1, 2018. Just remember to look out for Sticky Bandits, bird ladies, and Donald Trump!
