The Twisted Hop

The Twisted Hop opened on the Ferry Road in November 2012. With a history in Christchurch going back to 2004, we are a craft beer pub specialising in English style cask conditioned beer. Our beers are brewed in Christchurch and are delivered fresh from The Twisted Hop Brewery in Sockburn. Cask conditioned real ales are chilled to 12 degrees and are served in the traditional manner from the firkin using a beer engine. While undergoing final fermentation in the barrel, the beer is fresh and still alive when it reaches your glass. Cask conditioned beers are available in riggers (either ours or yours) to 'take away' We also have a range of Twisted Hop craft keg beers, colder at 4 degrees and available on tap. A great introduction to Twisted Hop beer is to select a taster tray. In addition, we offer a changing range of guest craft beer from around New Zealand. You will find a great food selection from snacks and sharing plates to a la carte, plus daily specials. For your special occasion we can cater for larger groups of up to 40 people in the private mezzanine.
