The main catch and target species is Blue Cod, Hapuka, Trumpeter, Tarakihi and Sea Perch, and on the return back to Kaikoura you will lift up crayfish pots that have been put down at the start of the fishing trip. All fish caught is filleted and bagged ready for cooking or you can elect to release your fish that you have caught.
