Griffith Park , in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, California is one of the largest urban parks in North America. It has also been referred to as the Central Park of Los Angeles but is much larger, more untamed, and rugged than its New York City counterpart. Its origins date to 1882 when Colonel Griffith J. Griffith purchased Rancho Los Feliz and started an ostrich farm. He donated the land to the city, after his property developments in the surrounding area failed, in 1896.
The Hollywood sign has always been a landmark with a worldwide fame. Every movie, every scene almost has the Hollywood sign as a background.
Visiting the Griffith Park, gives you the opportunity to get to see this sign from close.
The hike is gorgeous and the trails are easy to follow. Nature everywhere and at last but not least the views from up there...fantastic!
Do spend some of your time there..you will not regret it!
Very nice views. Take water because there is no vending machines. Long hikes.
