“Take on the 3 lb. burger!”
Joe's Diner is a throwback in time set in a classic stainless steel diner car with juke box, neon lights, and classic movies playing all day long. Comfortable and friendly atmosphere where you can order breakfast anytime of day along with any other menu item. Our shakes are hand-dipped, smoothies are delicious and our coffee will keep you coming back. In addition we serve wine and bottled beer or take on our famous 3-Pound Burger Challenge!
If you can eat it in 30-minutes by yourself, it's FREE! We also have seating for large groups and can cater any size event. We are located within the Main Street Bar District just behind Neon's and the Drinkery on the corner of 12th Street and Sycamore.
The only true diner car in Cincinnati, and an incredibly well preserved one at that, well worth a look for that alone. Sadly, the food doesn't have a great reputation, and service isn't too hot either. Also opening hours can be a little strange I gather - thats the word around here anyway.
I've not eaten here but I walked in the other night for a late-night breakfast after the bars closed and even after a few drinks, the place smelled so bad that I turned around and walked out. I'm usually a pretty fearless eater but the risk for food poisoning was almost palpable. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone which is a shame because the space itself is pretty cool.
It used to be so great but is sadly not living up to it's stunning exterior. I wish someone would take this space and turn it into something great, but as of now the food is overpriced for lackluster taste and service. Head to Tuckers for a some real down home diner food.
A little hit and miss, but worth seeing just based on the sweet 50s feel. Here's our first trip: http://www.diveswithoutwives.com/2013/03/12/joes-diner-a-true-1950s-style-diner-in-otr/
I had no problem with the food here, however the service was very slow with one meal served at a time. The building is fantastic but very hot in the sunshine.
