“Unbeatable view of Pittsburgh”
The West End Overlook is a small municipal park and scenic viewpoint in the Elliott neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2003 the park was redesigned with landscaped gardens and a walkway under shade trees. Terraced stone banks provide seats for tourists. The park affords a sweeping view of the valleys of the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio River as well as Downtown Pittsburgh. It's also one of the filming location of The Perks of Being a Wallflower! Many scenes were shot of Sam, Patrick and Charlie hanging out at this overlook after school.
Definitely worth stopping!
I agree, worth the trip! Great view, and the drive was really nice.
It's well worth the ride up there
Great spot for a great view, and easy to get to!
Amazing view! It's a nice place to walk around after a long trip before getting into city traffic.
Really beautiful view of Pittsburgh
Solid overlook
Worth a stop. This is the best view in Pittsburgh.
Most underrated view of Pittsburgh. Far enough from the city that you can see stars in the sky on a clear, moonless evening! It's so great to see the rivers split the city, also! Additionally, this is THEE BEST place to view a summer sunrise in Pittsburgh, you get to watch the barges shuffle around the city as the sun rises through the buildings.
