“Be right in the action of the harbor”
Oregon's southernmost Port is located on the Pacific Ocean a few miles north of the Oregon-California border; an area known for its mild climate and natural beauty. Located at the mouth of the Chetco River, it has one of the safest entries to the ocean on the west coast. It's a sportsman's paradise and a photographer's dream. Year round ocean fishing for snapper, salmon, and albacore tuna as well as three world class rivers within minutes provide outstanding angling and recreational boating. The Port is a working Port with a fleet of commercial vessels that fish for Dungeness crab, tuna, snapper and shrimp. These catches are offloaded daily on our commercial dock systems and are an important element of our overall economy.

Near enough for easy day trips to the Redwoods (including Oregon's grove). Tight spaces but you're right on the water (well, a low traffic street divides your site from the beach, but it's as close as I think you can get RVing on the Oregon Coast).

We stayed here on our way down Highway 101, and loved how close it was to the ocean. Beachfront RV Park is located in a public harbor ( Port of Brookings), so they share a parking lot, bathrooms and a laundry room with the public. The facilities needed updated and cleaned.
If you choose a ocean view site, there is a one way road and parking lot separating you from the beach. The cars and visitors using the parking lot, road, and beach fluctuated with the sun. The more the sun came out, the more people came to enjoy the area. We observed that most of the visitors to the Port just pulled their car into a parking spot, took some pictures, and were on their way. We had read that the sites were narrow, so we managed to snag an end spot. It was nice not having a neighbor, but it also meant we were right at the entrance to the park, which could get busy. There are a couple of restaurants and bars within walking distance; we enjoyed the Bell and Whistle Coffee House. We found the wifi to work well and the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful.
Overall, we loved being on the ocean and would camp here again, but not in the summer time, as I am sure it gets very crowded. The rates drop November 1st, if you can come during the fall.

We splurged on the premium site with the ocean view. The port itself is very busy, so if you are are looking for quiet, forget it. We came here for the view and access to the beach. It's a great people watching place. If you are in town, try Zola's Pizzaria in the Harbor. A small hole in the wall place that has great pizza and music. Sportsman Marina has the best seafood around.
The park claims to have wi-fi but we were not able to connect very often. Overall, it's a place to come back and visit in the banana belt of Oregon.

Really 3.5 stars, but doesn't deserve 3 stars. :)
Overall a nice campground, with full hookups, but it's very very busy with the marina nearby. Seems to be even more busy than the main road through town. A few nice restaurants in town, and nice trails along the corridor.
We would've camped at Harris Beach nearby but the Oceanfront loops were under construction when we were there.

This was a nice spot, right by the beach. We had full hookup. The day was really foggy so we couldn’t see our very far. There are some really pretty waves on the beach. They didn’t have laundry services but drove up the road to a nearby laundry mat.

We don't usually stay in RV parks, but we had some spring cleaning to do and so we thought what better place than by the beach.
The sites are close to each other (people sitting in the picnic benches were right outside your window) and you are not necessarily right on the beach or close, but you do have views and can hear the waves. The pull thru spots are ocean view with public parking right in front. It gets busy but towards the evening it quiets down. You can still sit in front of your spot and people watch and see the ocean. You can have fires on the beach and it's a pleasant walk along most of it. some parts are pretty rocky instead of sandy.
The wifi here is hit or miss and some of the areas of the park are closed. It is closely monitored and checked on by the employees which is nice. You can ask for a fire pit and wood. Only thing that sucked about that was our RV smelled of firewood after and we didn't even have a fire!
Some of the pull thru spots are really long and others were much shorter. We would have been able to have our old fifthwheel, our truck and room to sit in one of the longer ones. The back in spots are shorter. I actually preferred the sites in the 60s as it wasn't as busy on that end. The entrance, by the 90s is much busier.
Bathrooms were closed as of 6/24/20 but they did have porta pottys and had washing stations. You could also walk to the harbor and see the boats, get food from a number of places and do some souvenier shopping.
We would stay here again if we wanted to stay in an RV park.

We stayed at the Riverview RV Park run by Port of Brookings Harbor for three days in August 2020. This RV park is all about it’s riverfront and oceanfront location. Great for exploring Brookings and the surrounding state parks and beaches. Also, the RV Park staff we met was great.
That said, we will not be returning. The park infrastructure is rough and sad to say the least. The park is adjacent to an ocean front public parking area and, like California, the beach is public. Lots of traffic and local partiers on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. Cars and pickup trucks in and out of the dry camping area — that’s supposed to be for paid RVers — all day and evening at will. A noisy, uncomfortable and insecure place to be. No real rules enforcement. And the amount of trash we saw in and adjacent to the RV area was depressing. A walk south along the beautiful ocean front revealed a massive homeless camp with trash and debris everywhere. And mobile homeless are prowling around the edges of the park, seeking a safe parking location day and night.
All that said, this place has enormous potential. Vigorous rules enforcement, good leadership, a cadre of volunteers to help deal with trash and weeds, and basic infrastructure investment could turn this place into one of the nicest RV Parks in Oregon.

This is nice but very basic, it’s really an extension of public parking overlooking the surf. Shower facilities closed, open restroom was more like facility for public parking. Not sure why costs are higher than the state park for hookups.
Anyway, not bad but moving to the state park for a couple nights -it’s such much nicer and better maintained.

On the beach ish. Great view but Day use traffic. Rocks on other side of Day use parking but needs it for weather. Little grass on the side for Fido. The beachfront bistro is to die for! Right across the little street and super delicious. Go!

This campground is literally a parking lot inside a parking lot. They must’ve closed the gate for a day to take pictures because the public lot is PACKED full of people trying to cut around all the RVs and fight for an open parking spot. Tried to go out on the beach but there were homeless camps scattered everywhere. Thankfully, we just stayed here one night passing through on our way to the redwoods, because we would have found another campground if it had been any longer.
