“90+ aircraft, missiles & aerospace vehicles”
Hill Aerospace Museum is located on the northwest corner of Hill Air Force Base, Utah, about five miles south of Ogden. The museum was founded in 1982 as a part of the United States Air Force Heritage Program and first opened to the public in 1987. It moved to its current facility in 1991. We annually welcome around 160,000 visitors, coming from every state and from many foreign countries. The Museum exhibits more than 90 military aircraft, missiles, and aerospace vehicles on the grounds and inside the Major General Rex A. Hadley Gallery and the Lindquist Stewart Fighter Gallery. Our collection also includes a wide variety of ordnance and munitions, an assortment of aerospace ground equipment, military vehicles, uniforms, and thousands of other historical artifacts. As a field museum of the United States Air Force Museum System, the mission of Hill Aerospace Museum is to portray the history of Hill Air Force Base, its tenant organizations, and the assignments of the Ogden Air Logistics Center. Hours of Operation The museum is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. til 4:30 p.m. Admission is FREE, but monetary donations are gratefully accepted. We are CLOSED on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
I really enjoyed visiting here. There were some veterans close to the entrance that were more than happy to share stories or talk about the planes.
Great collection, friendly people and right on an air base. Great way to kill an afternoon.
We really enjoyed our visit here. Great experience for the size of the museum, which was very manageable. Lots of history!
Hill Aerospace Museum is a must see if you find yourself in Northern Utah. This Gem less than 2 minutes off the Freeway! Experience history in the first person, see what obstacles our service members and their families overcame during multiple wars throughout history.
Step through time and see the evolution of the U.S. Aerospace program. You will not be disappointed, spend an hour or all day, there’s plenty to see!
Awesome museum if you like planes! This was a great surprise and a fun way to spend an afternoon.
One of my favourite places to visit with my family, and never fails to entertain my son who goes with us or his grandparents at least a few times a year. Tons of stuff to see. I've been there at least two dozen times in my life and I always find something new to learn.
Took my wife and 2 year old. It was a blast because my son got to run around a bunch. I want to go back to be able to read more in the exhibits. It's so awesome being able to see the planes and jets up close. Plus it's FREE!!!
