“Defy the laws of physics”

In the early 1950’s, 3 surveyors named Clarence, Fred and McCray came from California to explore the Upper Peninsula.  They stumbled across an area of land where their surveying equipment didn’t seem to work properly.  For instance, no matter how many times they tried to level their tripod, through the use of a plum-bob or level, the plum-bob would always be drawn far to the east, even as the level was reading level.  As they continued their research of this land, they noticed a constant feeling of being light-headed.   Later, realizing their queasiness and problems with the surveying equipment only occurred in an area about 300 feet in diameter, they felt they had discovered a “Mystery Spot”.  Millions have visited they Mystery Spot and many return year after year to experience the unusual sensations that occur within its boundaries.  Where else can a tall person seem smaller by comparison or climb a wall and tilt precariously into the air but not fall?  Gravity tends to play a role while sitting in a chair with its back legs balanced on a beam and front legs suspended in the air.  You will without a doubt remember your visit to the Mystery Spot for years to come.

Super fun, regardless of whether you believe in the whole "vortex" thing or not. This is roadside attraction at its purest, and a great place to take kids, especially, because it always blows their minds.

Things appear to roll up hill, you can balance on a wall, and two people can exchange heights, as weird as that sounds. It really has to be experienced to appreciate how neat the place really is.

So cheesy, but so worth it to stimulate the local economy LOL
My husband and I were born and raised in Michigan and had never been, so driving through we made a planned stop to take our three kids who LOVE Gravity Falls and this was the closest thing I could think of to the show. Was not disappointed expecting a “Gravity falls like experience” 😁 I think they actually could use more “attractions” that defy gravity and the mind 😁
Kids got a kick out of it and we helped the local economy, it was a win win.

Fun place to stop. The main attraction is a great adventure. They also have mini golf, a maze and zip lines for you to enjoy!

Kitschy touristy weirdness. There’s a scripted guided tour that points out the various mysterious gravitational phenomenon which conveniently leads back to the gift shop. Thera also a zip line and mini golf. It’s fun and goofy. NOT for those prone to vertigo. I even started to feel a little hot and queasy. A little challenging with a 21-month old as well because balance is hard.

As a side note: we were vaguely outside but in an enclosed space part of the time. There were zero COVID precautions. In fact, the tour was overloaded, we were packed in like sardines and probably half with children who could not have been vaccinated yet due to age.

Overall, I enjoy the mystery and kitsch but I still feel a little off!

It was okay. My kids enjoyed themselves. I started feeling sick there though. Apparently, unbeknownst to me my appendix burst while we were there. Then I drove 6 hours home. We make jokes now that I had gotten the “mystery illness”.

The kids would like it. I thought it was a bit lame. Take the $9 and buy a Pastie.
