“What they were really developing at Area-51”
Alien Fresh Jerky® got started with a trip to Rachel, Nevada, in October of 1997. The family intrigue for what exactly was Area-51, and knowing that the closest place to it was the small community of Rachel in Nevada, a road trip was in call. When we got to Rachel, to our surprise we came upon the Area-51 Research Center, the Little A'Le'Inn (pronounced 'alien'), and a whole lot of desert. In late 2000, Luis makes the decision to try selling some jerky, nuts, olives, and honey along the interstate there in Crystal Springs, which is about 40 miles due southeast of Rachel. The brand name used was 'Alien Fresh Jerky®', and it stuck, so much that later in 2002, when the store was moved, a decision had to be made whether to keep the Alien Fresh Jerky® name or change it to something else. The name was kept, and now just about anyone traveling to or from Las Vegas on that I-15 stretch between state line primm and barstow knows that if you want some 'out of this world' jerky, you gotta stop at Alien Fresh Jerky®!
Fun stopping place. Kids loved the alien décor and all the different soda cans, candy, hot sauces, and jerkies to choose from.

It's a fun stop, kids and us enjoy stopping here to see all the aliens. It's a fun shop and the jerky is good to. They have funny, quirky sauces. Those are definitely for show as they tend to taste like vinegar or just gross. Definitely worth the stop.
This place is so fun! So many cool things to see. A spaceship in front, a car full of aliens, huge aliens holding signs. That's just outside! Not to mention, the building itself was spacey looking.
Looks like they have another building that has food? But it wasn't open. And looks like they are building a hotel! I'm so there!
The store inside has so much stuff. Surprisingly little jerky. Lots of other stuff. Candy. Snacks. Souvenirs. And the decorations are so fun! Super happy we stopped here. Loved it. And the world's tallest thermometer is just down the street.
We loved this stop! My best friend and boyfriend had the best time with the alien photo ops, and they had some really quality souvenirs. The jerky was delicious as well!

Great pit stop. So much jerky! Lots of neat alien stuff for purchase. It's under construction right now but is still accessible and still an awesome place for photos.

Yes, they are the best in making delicious Beef Jerky! With so many delicious flavors from sweet to Hot, Hot, Hot they have it! About $20 a bag, less the more you buy, you can't beat it. You'll be stopping Everytime your in the area. Very addicting. They are also building a huge Spaceship in the back and I believe it's supposed to be a Hotel! Very interesting and I can't wait! Keep up the great jerky guys!! I'll be back!! ❤️🙏
