Just one quick drive through this park will be enough to answer the question, "Hmmm, should I stay here?" This RV park is not clean and is not safe. It is drug infested, and apparently cockroach infested as well. I have been to this park on several occasions and had interactions with several of the residents. Their living conditions are unconscionable. I've been inside these peoples homes and seen the lack of basic living essentials; no hot water, no running water, no way to bathe, faulty electric, and yes, drugs. This park is drug infested and there is no way that anyone living there is not aware of this fact. THE ENTIRE TOWN is aware of this fact. I wish there was more our town could do to clean it up. It needs to be condemned.

This is to Shannon Coleman you thought you were attacking Deena, well surprise you attacked all the people who live here, like me I have lived here for 14 years, and You have no right to call my home grungy you do not even know me. And then to lie about the park that we have a handful of trailers just for cooking Meth. Lady you really do not know what you are talking about. You then Guaranted it. I can see why, you for one was hanging with the people who have no respect for themselves let alone for anyone else, They played you for all you were worth and you are so gullible you belived all the lies they told you. Oh and then if Drift Creek is so grungy and we are suppose to have drugs why would you put your 12 year old daughter in harms way and let her be around people with very filthy mouths and for a month you exposed her to that. I have to say you are not a very caring Mother or you do not love her very much. So as far as your review goes it is a pack of lies. And everyone knows it. You were mad because you could not stay another week. So you thought you would attack the park and everyone in it, well lady it does not work that way. Your review did not do a thing. Because the park is so full it is bursting out the seams. We have two of the nices owners Bruce and Karen that we can ever ask for. Who have been busting there backs to get this place up and running in a very good way, and they are doing a great job. Every year it is looking better and better. So Shannon Coleman, you and your review mean NOTHING. I am so glad you will never come again

I saw the review the tent people left and was appalled. I have had interactions with Deena over the last 4 years and she has been a wonderful addition to the park. I can't imagine her yelling at anyone.
As far as the blatant accusations of meth labs coming from people who stayed there for a "month" that they was so nasty, that I can't imagine what kind of people they must be.
Shame on them for taking a rustic quirky park and turning it into an ugly experience. Makes you wonder why they stayed so long...
We have been coming for years and will continue to enjoy the serenity, the great fishing, and the camaraderie for years to come. I am only giving them a 4 because the fish came late this year!

We decided to camp here because it was one of the only places that allowed monthly tent camping, the rate was good for electric and wifi. What a mistake! Upon entering the campground/rv park we were horrified at the grungy condition of the majority of the rv's parked there, we contemplated turning around and going somewhere else. We were literally scared to let our 12 year old daughter out of our sight, at first. We've traveled the country for a year and have never seen a park with such disgusting trailers parked in it. I will guarantee you that there are at least a handful of trailers there for the sole purpose of cooking meth! We had two experiences there of hearing/witnessing domestic violence.

We ended up staying because we had driven 3 hours to get there, it was late and we didn't have a lot of options on a Friday. It did have one redeeming quality, the view of the forest and Alsea river. So we set up camp, faced our tent away from the nasty view and decided to focus on the river view. I have to say that the owner, Karen and the Assistant Manager, Donna, were a delight, friendly, receptive and accomodating. After meeting them, we did decide that we would stay for as long as it felt right so we could explore the coast and decide where to go next. After a week of peace and tranquility, our camping experience was RUDELY interrupted by the arrival of the Manager, Deena who had just come back from vacation. She was abrasive and simply nasty in her approach, tone and demeanor. We got the impression that she was simply agaist tent campers and just wanted us gone. When we went to book a second week, she started telling us they were full and making all kinds of excuses that were simply not true. They had plenty of space available, it's not like people are beating there doors down to tent camp here! If you are a tent camper DO NOT go here!

We had 2 run in's with this horrible Manager in the 30 days that we stayed there. We were clean, respectful and quiet, keeping to ourselves for the most part. There was one incident in which, again, she came at us (a group of us having a good time, admittedly loud but an hour before the official quiet time) with a nasty, agressive, demanding attitude. She was rude and disrespectful and completely unprofessional. She makes emotional decisions and assumptions without caring or having a willingness to communicate, preferring to be right instead of seeing or hearing the truth. She simply lies and is quite honestly, the definition of a BULLY. I am amazed that this person still has a job and we are not the only ones. We spoke with a handful of residents there who felt the same way. She should be fired and they should hire a Manager who has the ability to manage with diplomacy and an ability to not allow their emotions to influence their decisions. I have had manageral positions in the past and would certainly have been let go if I treated a customer the way that Deena treated us. This is the type of person that can ruin a business!

In the 12 months that we've traveled the US, camping in 26 states, we have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully, have always had pleasant experiences with park rangers, hotel managers, camp hosts etc...this was a FIRST and we will NEVER go back and will let every traveler we meet, to STAY AWAY. It's a shame, because we did meet some lovely, kind and compassionate people while we were there, that frankly, had changed our opinion about the place and would have inspired us to give this place a better rating, but Deena was NOT one of them and this negative review is COMPLETELY her responsibility. We left there with a bad memory instead of a good one, all because of the way that she chose to handle herself.
