“Where the great outdoors meets the great indoors”

"No one plans a trip to Portland thinking, “Oh, I bet this will be ok. I hear it’s nice.” No way. You come to Portland with expectations of a city surrounded by natural beauty and a downtown full of funky shops, eclectic bars, and plenty of good people watching. So why on earth would you stay at a boring hotel? Stay somewhere Portland-ish. Stay where we stay:Hotel Rose.  Hotel Rose’s central location is reason enough to make it your Portland hotel of choice. Right on the Willamette River, Hotel Rose offers easy access to the highways for those wanting to get out to places like Multanomah Falls but is also within walking distance to some of Portland’s most beloved spots like Powell's City of Books and plenty of nightlife. From the moment you enter Hotel Rose’s lobby, you know you’re not at some plain, boring place. Bright colors and funky decor just seem to pump you up for what lies ahead during your time in Portland. The staff also goes above and beyond to make sure you’re ready to take on the town. We arrived for our first night at Hotel Rose at an ungodly hour, but the front desk attendant was more than happy to suggest places we should check out while in town and the rest of the staff seemed genuinely interested about our day’s adventures when we returned the next evening. Our room was comfortable, clean, and just funky enough to capture a little of the Portland vibe without being so loud and over the top it would give us nightmares. It was tastefully perfect. The highlight of our time at the Hotel Rose, however, has to be Bottle + Kitchen, the on-site bar and restaurant. Like the hotel lobby, Bottle + Kitchen screams funky Portland. In fact, the decor was so fun, our mind wandered to thinking, “Ok, this place is super cool. Is it all show?” Trust us. This is the real deal... and the food was just as enticing as the atmosphere." -Roadtrippers Whether you’ve packed hiking boots and binoculars or heels and pearls, you’ll find no shortage of fun and frivolity in the Rose City. Our hotel features 140 marvelously appointed guest rooms and suites, and is ideally located downtown on the west bank of the Willamette River. Here, you’re a hop, step and a jump from the city’s most popular attractions. Less than a mile away you’ll find world famous Powell’s City of Books, which is literally the largest bookstore on Earth. Also nearby are countless cultural venues including the Oregon Ballet Theatre, Oregon Symphony Orchestra and the Portland Opera. Or if shopping is more your bag (pun intended) there’s Pioneer Place, Multnomah Village and more. And last but not least, all of you outdoorsy types will love taking day hikes to beautiful spots such as Hoyt Arboretum and Latourell Falls. (We recommend this to help offset the calories amassed at another Portland must-visit spot, Voodoo Doughnut.)

Great, friendly staff and the on-site restaurant is delicious. A great place to make home while exploring Portland!
