Got a case of the mean reds? Slip on your classiest black dress, grab a danish and some coffee and check out these Breakfast at Tiffany’s filming locations!
This building was used for exterior shots of Holly Golightly’s apartment. The interior of the building is probably much less random and cluttered than Holly’s- though her bathtub couch is pretty crafty.

This infamous maximum-security prison is where mobster Sally Tomato is incarcerated. Mr. Tomato’s lawyer gave Holly a hundred dollars a week to visit Sally and get “the weather report”. And, as we find out, no good ever comes from getting the weather report from a mobster in prison! While you can’t visit yet (unless you’re taken there in handcuffs) plans are in the works to turn the old powerhouse into a museum!
This is where Paul learns about Holly’s past. If you aren’t meeting your crush’s much older estranged husband here, you can see concerts or soak up the history!
Hard to believe that Holly had never been to the library before Paul took her. In this case, don’t do as Holly does, so remember to use inside voices and not to write on the books!
Holly puts it best: “Well, when I get [the mean reds] the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany’s. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that’d make me feel like Tiffany’s, then – then I’d buy some furniture and give the cat a name!”
Well said, Holly.
