1. Vanish

Two words: underwater tunnel. How much more awesome can a coaster possibly get? You and your friends will ride the 744m track and finish by plunge straight into a gigantic pool of water. This ride is not for the faint of heart. Location: Yokohama, Japan.

Open since June 29th, 1978, the Colossus holds the title as the tallest wooden roller coaster in the world. In August of 2013, Six Flags ran the coaster backwards for the first time ever.

When it began its run in 1990 it was the fastest and tallest looping roller coaster in the entire world. Today this seven looping coaster raises to a hight of 188 feet and is still a favorite stop for coaster addicts.

It might only last 2 minutes and 43 seconds but you’ll get to experience nearly 4 G’s of force while you rocket from the roof of the hotel to a darkened hidden tunnel.


6. Verrückt

Verrückt wasn’t just named after a cool sounding word, oh no, it’s the German word for insane… because that’s exactly what it is. It’s still being built, but when this rocket is finally finished later this year, it will hold the record as the tallest and fastest water slide in the world.. and it’s going to be in Kansas of all places.
