“Site of the terrifying Bell Witch haunting”
The Bell Witch Cave is located near where the Bell Farm once stood, and is the site of one of Tennessee's most infamous and chilling stories of ghostly activity. The cave is approximately 490 feet (150 m) long. The cave is privately owned and tours are given during the summer months and the month of October.
During October they only do tours on weekends.
Awesome! Well worth the short drive! The family that owns the property is great!!
The person on the other end of the phone from this number was very informative and friendly. Definitely want to visit here!
It was flooded due to rain. Make sure you check the weather in advance before making the trip out there. We got there and it was closed.
GREAT place is you're into ghost stories. The story of the Bell Witch is one of the most popular spooky tales in Tennessee history, so it's really cool to see where it all took place.
It's on private property, but the property owners are super cool and will give you a personal tour for just a few bucks. They allow some pictures, but as a general rule they don't allow video, so leave the camcorder in the car.
Check this out.
You can do a cave tour for $12/person or cave and cabin tour for $18/person. I recommend doing the cave and cabin especially for those not familiar with The Bell Witch legend. Be sure to wear appropriate shoes for exploring a damp, sometimes muddy cave. The tour guides seem to have a good wealth of knowledge about the history of the land as well.
Call before driving. Closed Tuesday’s. Also open weekends only in some months. Very disappointed as it’s Tuesday
It's been a while since i've been (i'd love to go again) but it was amazing when i went. Gave me chills for quite a few reasons. Met a couple of cool ladies ( who had taken some pics and got orb pictures for all you ghost lovers) that felt the same chills i had.
This place has been on my bucketlist for years. I finally made it this summer (2016) and it did not disappoint! Chris was our tour guide and she was so thorough in her explanations and knowledge, I didn't even need to ask a question. She would say something, in my mind I noted a question, but before she even finished, she would have the question answered. Thanks to the family who runs the place, you can tell they take pride in keeping it going. I definitely want to go back. Thank you!
