Ginger Man

Being located in the state capital, our clientele includes legislators, politicians and judiciary appointees. They are drawn to our singularity, vast selection, excellent price ranges and such exclusive offerings as three ounce “tastes” and sampler “wine flights”. We serve lunch and dinner daily, assembling unique and special selections at both seating’s to complement each meal. Our current wine list-which changes seasonally-offers a generous number selection from the worlds major wine regions, reflecting our customers’ current requests while offering unconventional vintages rarely served by the glass. Storage facilities, located in our old stone and brick cellar-which holds everything at a fairly stable temperatures are comprised of a large walk-in cooler alongside rooms for both red and white wines. All bottles in each room lay flat in their bins and are organized by row, number and label. The cooler shelves are organized by each wine variety and labeled for each wine. Pricing is constantly and carefully observed as the daily wine specials continually change, and we try to avoid “overkill” on any particular selection. Usually, the cruvinet contains more expensive labels, ranging up to $10 a glass. Storage, pricing and inventory control at the Ginger Man is given great attention in every detail. With a total inventory of 1600 bottles, the breadth of our wine list represents the classic traditional wines as well as new and trendy selections.
