“Home to the worlds oldest rollercoaster”
Opened in 1894 as a trolley park, Lakemont Park has overcome many obstacles to become the 8th oldest amusement park in the United States. One of Lakemont's most prized possessions is the world's oldest roller coaster, Leap-the-Dips.
Wow, this roller coaster was scary just because it is so loud, rickety, and jumpy. there are points where the car actually comes off the track a bit. But it was fun to ride despite the scariness.
We had a great time at Lakemont Park riding the various rides there. It was only $5 for admission on the weekday to the rides and waterpark with only a few attractions (such as the Leap-the-Dips coaster) costing a little bit extra. Great way to spend $5 if you enjoy carnival/amusement park rides.
this is the scariest roller coaster in the world. I went on it once and never will again.
