“perfect for beginners or a experts”
The Oak Canyon Nature Center is a 60- acre oasis tucked into the Anaheim Hills between homes, a golf course, and a reservoir. Three canyons merge in this tree-filled suburban wilderness, providing a sense of remoteness. A year-round stream flows through the heart of the secluded sanctuary under coastal live oak, sycamore, willow, elderberry, and walnut trees. Four miles of hiking trails connect the canyon walls with the lush, stream-fed canyon bottom. This hike circles the canyon on the chaparral-covered hillsides and meanders through the riparian canyon floor. The nature center facility has a museum, natural history exhibits, and nature classes. The trails are ideal for those who are just stepping into the wilderness for the first time or for those more experiences trekkers who are seeking a short hike.
