“Home of the Dallas Cowboys!”
AT&T Stadium is a stadium with a retractable roof in Arlington, Texas. It serves as the home of the National Football League's Dallas Cowboys. It replaced the partially covered Texas Stadium, which opened in 1971, and served as the Cowboys' home through the 2008 season. It was completed on May 27, 2009. The stadium seats 85,000, making it the third largest stadium in the NFL by seating capacity. The maximum capacity of the stadium, including standing room, is 105,000. The Party Pass (open areas) sections are behind seats in each end zone and on a series of six elevated platforms connected by stairways. It has the world's largest column-free interior and the fourth largest high definition video screen, which hangs from 20 yard line to 20 yard line. The facility can also be used for a variety of other activities outside of its main purpose (professional football) such as concerts, basketball games, boxing matches, college football and high school football contests, soccer matches, and motocross races.
Honestly one of the coolest stadium tours I've ever been on. We got to go through the locker room and the cheerleaders locked room (sadly, none were in there changing) and got to see Jerry Jone's "perch" where he prepares for each game. It was sweeeet. The tour ends down on the field where you can buy a football and play catch down on the field. Well worth the price of admission and the price of the football!
If ever you get lost in Arlington, you should really check this one out. This is one of the coolest stadiums in the country. Massive and fabulous! Also if will take their VIP tour, you will have a chance to experience riding the private elevators that is connected to the upper box.
My son is a huge Cowboys fan so we had to stop to send him some pictures. It was worth it. The stadium is beautiful and filled with memories of great players of the past. You should stop whether you are a Cowboys fan or not!!
