“authentic Spanish tapas bar”
The authentic Spanish tapas bar, Cúrate, is open for lunch, brunch and dinner service. Heirloom Hospitality Group’s lively full-service restaurant brings diners the best of Spanish food and wine with fabulous locally sourced ingredients. The cuisine at Cúrate is first and foremost traditional Spanish. From jamón Ibérico to croquetas de pollo to crema catalana, those who have traveled to Spain will instantly be transported back to one of the lively tapas bars beloved throughout the country, one plate at a time. In Spanish, Cúrate, means ‘cure yourself.’ Whether guests are looking for a fun-filled evening out with friends or a quick bite before or after one of Asheville's many art or music productions, Cúrate is the place to go to take care of yourself, by letting us take care of you.
Nightbell is our favorite little bar in Asheville. Only way to describe it is Whimsical. With puffs to sit on and blue glass lighting it had a great vibe. The craft drinks were well made and not pretentious (with a little guide in there menus to help you decide). The entry had an almost speakeasy vibe.
Self-taught chef Katie Button made the rounds at some of the world's most celebrated restaurants—elBulli in Spain, Jean-Georges in New York City and Minibar in Washington, D.C.—before landing in Asheville to open Cúrate. The menu reflects Button's time in Spain:almendras fritas (fried marcona almonds with sea salt), pincho moruno (lamb skewers with Moorish spices) and perhaps Button's most well-known dish, berenjenas la taberna (fried eggplant with honey and rosemary). The crew has also expanded next door with Nightbell, a cocktail bar serving reinterpreted American bar snacks. On Tuesdays, Button cooks a $48 five-course prix fixe tasting menu there with an optional wine or cocktail pairing.
