“with two large picnic shelters”
The 7.6-acre Saybrook Township Park is on State Route 531 (Lake Road West) east of the Russell Road intersection and west of the Mill Run Court intersection in Saybrook Township. The day-use park has two large picnic shelters and a concession stand. The northern portion of the park is partially shaded by deciduous trees and has a large playground area at the center. A line of benches overlooking Lake Erie are just south of a wooden split-rail fence marking the northern extent of the park. Thick vegetation and a stand of trees cover a steep bluff to the shore. Access beyond the fence is prohibited. Parking is available along the park’s access road which runs a quarter-mile loop around the park. South of the access road the park has basketball and sand volleyball courts, an open mowed-grass green space and a baseball field.
