“one acre earth portrait”
This one-acre portrait was created by famed Kansas artist Stan Herd in 1997. It lies on a hillside overlooking Warnock Lake and is composed of permanent plantings, stone and other natural materials. A viewing deck on a nearby hilltop provides the best ground views of the earthwork.
Word of Advice : Visit ONLY during summer. Otherwise there will be snow ALL THE TIME and you won't be able to figure out the portrait. Nice picnic spots nearby and Patee House Museum

This was AWESOME!!! Especially if you like nature. It's such a pretty portrait, no picture can do it justice. You must see it in person. It's free to view and the nature all around this place is just awesome. We took several pictures of the geese by the lake too. Really great stop. MUST see in person!
