Best Aquarium I have ever seen, by far. We paid extra for the Sea Keepers Tour and it was totally worth it!

Looking for an interesting way to relax in a fun, easy-going social setting? The Aquarium has the perfect event for you! The "Adults Only" Sleepovers from May - July include Behind the Scenes and Gallery Tours, as well as fun activities for all.

After everyone has gone home, and the Aquarium has closed its doors for the night, we invite you to join us for an exciting night of exploration. Explore the Georgia Aquarium after hours and sleep beside one of our world-class exhibits. The Aquarium offers sleepovers for families, youth groups and adults. As an added treat, sleepover guests can now view episodes of our award-winning series airing on ABC-TV stations, “Ocean Mysteries with Jeff Corwin from Georgia Aquarium!”

On November 23, 2005, Georgia Aquarium officially opened its doors to the public. As the world’s largest aquarium, Georgia Aquarium features more animals than any other aquarium in more than ten million gallons of water. Through a path of more than sixty exhibits, the Aquarium tells a global water story, with features modeled after the greatest zoos and aquariums in the world. Each majestic exhibit is designed to inspire, entertain and educate.

Home to whale sharks and manta rays, Ocean Voyager is the world's largest aquarium exhibit with 6.3 million gallons of water. Watch thousands of animals in front of the largest viewing window in North America.

Georgia Aquarium is an entertaining, intriguing and educational experience for guests of all ages. While promoting a fun and enjoyable learning experience, the Aquarium instills in its guests a new appreciation for the world’s aquatic biodiversity. The Aquarium enhances the Georgia tourism offerings and provides local residents with a world-class entertainment attraction. It is an anchor for downtown’s revitalization efforts being a benefit to both the city and the state. To date, Georgia Aquarium has attracted more than eleven million visitors and employs more than 400 employees and a dedicated core of more than 2,000 volunteers. The Aquarium has dedicated twenty-five percent of the gallery space to educating students of all ages who visit the Aquarium, we call it our Learning Loop. The Aquarium utilizes innovative technologies as well as interactive and interdisciplinary techniques to ensure that students have an enjoyable academic experience. One of the Georgia Aquarium’s major goals is to be the leading facility for aquatic animal conservation and research. Our state-of-the-art animal health facility, the Correll Center for Aquatic Animal Health, is 10,000 square feet and was designed by world class veterinarian professionals and conservation organizations. It is the only integration of an aquarium and a veterinarian teaching hospital. On a more global scale, the Georgia Aquarium supports, conducts and leads research on environmental and conservation issues.Georgia Aquarium is a 501(c)3 organization, and we rely on community support to fund our special programs including education and veterinary services.

I enjoyed the museum and the the tunnel walk was fantastic, but I dislike with their acquisition of new beluga whales captured in the wild.

This seems incredible. I've been to the Shedd Aquarium but they don't have sleepovers.

My boyfriend and I visit an aquarium on every trip we take around the USA, and we have had the Georgia Aquarium on the agenda for years!

The Ocean Voyager exhibit is truly spectacular. We could've sat and stared at the whale sharks and manta rays all day. We were even more excited to hear that you can pay to swim with them in the tank! That is another addition to our bucket list.

Beyond Ocean Voyager, we weren't as impressed with the scale of the aquarium, since it seems like most funds and efforts go into that main exhibit. It's not worse than other aquariums, just different in that they put so much effort into this MASSIVE exhibit, where other aquariums just have a larger variety of species. We also were not too fond of the beluga whale exhibit, it seemed rather small for 4 whales to cohabitate.

Nice place to visit. But best once school is back in...less crowds. Best part was the 4D movie. If you like this you would love the Tennessee Aquarium.

The most AMAZING experience you'll have at an aquarium! I wish I had gone on the behind the scenes tour. The Dolphin show is a MUST SEE!!! Get in line early for seats! ITS THAT GOOD! Very wheelchair friendly, the staff is helpful and kind, oh, and did I mention the WHALE SHARKS?!?!?!!! :D

One of the best aquariums I've been to outside the one in Chicago. It's a bit pricey in my opinion, I think for 2 of us it was around $80. There's some great exhibits inside and I loved the one where you can touch the sharks and stingrays. If you cough up a lot of money you can even go diving in their giant tank with the whale shark. That said, these places are often depressing for me when their focus is more on profit than conservation.

One of the best aquariums that I have ever been to! Ever exhibit is amazing and one of a kind. They have some different animals that not all aquariums have. I would highly recommend this! The tickets may be a little pricey but they will be worth every penny!

A bit pricey, but definitely worth it.
Whether you are a family, a bunch of friends or a young couple looking for a romantic place to visit, this is definitely it.
The place has a lot of variety and wildlife to offer, if you are in Atlanta it is definitely a must!

was great, the whale sharks are huge!! The picture quality in there will be horrendous because everything is dark so only your silhouette will appear.

We took advantage of the summer evening hours promo and went on a Tuesday night from 5-8. It was every bit as majestic and awe inspiring as I would have hoped for my 5 year old. It was a great way to wrap up an evening in Atlanta!

The best aquarium I've even been to (though I may be biased, I'm a born and raised Atlantian). It's extremely clean, and the exhibits are always amazing. If you're coming to Atlanta, this is a must visit.
