Atlantic City Boardwalk

There's a few cool things to check out when visiting Atlantic City. There's an indoor fountain located at the end of Caesar's Pier, and every hour there's a ten minute show. Personally, I'd recommend grabbing a beer at Back Bay Ale House and just watch the boats in the inlet at sunset on the patio.

This was a great day trip, plenty to see in a small area. Head to the beach ($1.00 per hour) parking, but the beach was clean, and plenty of police, and help if needed. In the downtown area, parking is $10-$25 4-8 hours depending on what you are looking to do, but you will have to pay for parking. Getting over to Atlantic city from the Philadelphia area you will have to pay for tolls going and coming $3.75 each way (1 for $3.00 and 1 for $.075) if you come via the Expressway. I planned to visit Bass Pro Shop, and if you use their parking lot, you'll pay $10 for 4 hours, but If you purchase more than $30 in the store, your parking is free, so if you're going to pay for parking, it's a deal. The area now is a little depressed, with businesses closing, and lots of real estate for sale, but still worth the trip if you've never been.

plenty to see, overpriced and only fun for adults at night. during the day there is almost nothing to do. never leave the boardwalk area.

The Atlantic City Boardwalk has been a city institution since 1870. Between the shopping at Pier Shops at Caesars, the rides at Steel Pier, and the multiple museums and memorials, the boardwalk is seven miles of attractions for the whole family. Although Hurricane Sandy did a number on it, most of the boardwalk is now up and ready for business this summer.
