“southern hospitality in Auburn”
“Acre highlights new Alabama cuisine inspired by our Southern heritage. The food is responsibly grown, harvested, sourced and prepared by a staff that enjoys the extra dedication and labor required by our type of food. The menu moves with the rhythms of the seasons and the unpredictability of the harvest. Our food and service is casual but clean and focused.” Led by Bancroft and Chef de Cuisine Collin Donnelly, the kitchen sources from on-site gardens and orchards, local farms, and the bounty provided by the Blackbelt Region, reinterpreting the rich heritage of Alabama cuisine. Acre is wrapped in edible landscapes designed to provide fresh seasonal harvest used to create delicious offerings which change daily, depending on what is ready in the garden. Fruit trees are surrounded by berries and fresh herbs. The on-site vegetable garden provides our guests with both heirloom and newly introduced varieties of produce which is harvested, prepared and served immediately.
I went to the acre back in May to celebrate my wedding anniversary, and we loved it. Meals were delicious, and waiters were kind and friendly. Read more
Food was out of this world. We were last to be seated (I think) before close so it took a while to get our food. We were a party of 9. Only reason I don't give 5 stars Read more
