“World's Largest Bull”
Albert, the World's Largest Bull at 45 tons was built in 1964.. He also has baby blue eyes and giant concrete gonads! Audubon is home to a gigantic bull statue, Albert the Bull. The statue is 30 feet tall, weighs 45 tons, and can be seen from US highway 71 even at night (lighted).
The kids thought it was fun! It is also next to a little playground, so they could play around a little before getting back in the car for a long road trip.
Albert the Bull is a must-see stop in northwest Iowa! Stop by Albert the Bull Park for a picnic & to snap a photo of this huge Hereford.
Albert also has had his share of the limelight. He appears in the movie “Beethoven’s 3rd” and was mentioned on both “Jeopardy” and “The West Wing.”
The actual location is at 'Albert the Bull Park' which comes up in google maps. If you push the button at the little information stand a recording plays with a bunch of facts about the town and about Albert.
Loved it! About a 15 minute drive from the 80 and well worth it.
