“The life and career of Rosemary Clooney”
Starting in 1980 Rosemary began calling Augusta's 106 Riverside Drive home. Located on the banks of the Ohio River in historical Augusta, KY, this was her retreat from the demands of her career and a haven for rest between performances all over the world. After Rosemary's passing, her children approached the Henrys about purchasing the home. They did so enthusiasticly and since that time have devoted extraordinary time and resources to preserving the home and acquiring artifacts related to Rosemary's life and career.
Have been here several times. Augusta KY, as a whole, is a very pleasant, friendly and fun day trip. But the Rosemary Clooney house is really pretty awesome. Operated by former Ms. America and native Kentuckian Heather French Henry and her husband, former KY LT.Gov. Steve Henry, the museum is constantly adding to it's already vast collection! Items include many of Rosemary's outfits worn during her movies, Bing Crosby's Army uniform from White Christmas, and the ever expanding collection of George Clooney wares. But not only that, the tour guides are very well versed in the history of Rosemary and her geneaology.
Well worth the $5 admission, with freedom to photograph items. Afterwards, stroll through the town and relax a bit!
