“Tea Bar in Ballston Springs!”
The Whistling Kettle opened in 2004 in downtown Ballston Spa, NY - only minutes from Albany and Saratoga Springs. Our vision was to combine an on-line shop, a loose tea and accessories shop and a full service tea room complete under one roof. In hindsight, this was the most difficult of paths - however it has brought us enormous rewards and allowed us to benefit from the knowledge and insight of meeting customers face to face. Voted #1 Lunch Spot in the Capital Region twice, our tea room is modeled on a classic urban design. No lace, or fine China - our offerings reach out to all age groups and genders. We also stock excellent craft beer! Our menu offers a wide variety of healthy food made from scratch, with minimal processed ingredients and lots of flavor. Tea culture can only be fostered by a warm atmosphere and quality staff. Our tea blend labs began production in 2012 to produce our own custom in house blends. Examples of this are our Dr. Oz inspired lines of tea, flavored matcha and our flagship East Frisian Blend. Our menu is constantly evolving, but our goal is to continually expand our scope, product selection and quality while keeping a balanced approach. We constantly monitor inventory to ensure fresh product.
