“Homstyle cooking since 1997”
Since 1997, folks have enjoyed the homestyle country cooking at Maxine's on Main Street in historic downtown Bastrop. Guests come back again and again to our cozy restaurant for our delicious griddle cakes, legendary burgers and award-winning chili...not to mention our great coffee. If our waitresses are ever busy, you can serve yourself from the fresh pot on the counter...just make yourself at home. Whether you're looking for a warm slice of homemade pie or a crisp salad with farm-fresh veggies, Maxine's can feed your appetite. We work closely with our suppliers to get the freshest and best ingredients, from eggs to tomatoes, and pretty much everything is made from scratch. That means it may take a few extra minutes to get your meal, because we don't start making it until you order it. We guarantee it's worth the wait!
