“tree-shaded 500 acres”

Beaumont Botanical Gardens is a 23.5 acre public garden that is located within the tree-shaded 500 acres of Tyrrell Park. It is the home of the Bert and Jack Binks Horticultural Center and the Warren Loose Conservatory, the second largest conservatory in a public garden in the state of Texas. Numerous theme gardens are connected by a paved "Friendship Walk" which allows easy access for strollers and wheelchairs. Along the way you are treated to beautiful displays of antique and modern roses, bromeliads, herbs, azaleas and native plants.

If ever in Beaumont, Texas or passing close to it then you should definitely turn and visit the amazingly beautiful Botanical Gardens that are rated among the top ten attractions in Beaumont.

This is a great place for those who love plants and flowers. The Gardens are extremely well organized and local plants of Texas are highlighted. Walking around surrounded by so many different lovely gardens will prove to be a great thing to do, especially if you were looking for a place to chill out.

By visiting Beaumont Botanical Gardens you will have the opportunity to check out both indoor and outdoor gardens, as well as the picturesque waterfalls. Almost 24 acres of land that represent in a very beautiful way all the magic of nature. A very strong positive factor is that this place is easily accessible for wheelchairs.

We visited in February 2024. The cattail Marsh Wetlands was pretty nice. They have a nice long pier to walk out on and see all the birds. The conservatory was just ok. They had numerous amazing pieces of large petrified wood but the plants inside didn’t look like they were doing well. The botanical garden was laid out nice but not much blooming this time of year. It was really cool that everything was FREE!

What an amazing place! We stopped first for a picnic as a family at Cattail Marsh! There’s an education center there and they lent up binoculars for our short walk out the boardwalk! Great for families with little kids! We saw so many different birds including a beautiful pink spoonbill!

Then we drove through the lovely golf course over to the botanical garden! So many tropical plants in the atrium and the outdoor walk was again the perfect place to explore for plant enthusiasts, curious toddlers and others who like garden verities of snakes and bugs!

What a perfect stop on a long drive!

We stopped when the center was closed but you can still walk around the grounds. Make sure to have bug spray, a lot of standing water that attracts mosquitos. It wasn’t to much to see either
