“catfish is the thing here”
The depth of the menu at Adams Catfish House is pretty much summed up by its name. Catfish is the thing here. The Mississippi farm-raised filets are thick-cut and deep fried in peanut oil. The batter is a blend of corn meal and flour with a firm hand on the black pepper. The filets are crisp, curled and crunchy on the edges. The hushpuppies are slightly sweet, with a texture that tends more toward cake than corn bread. Hours: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday; 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday Friday and Saturday. Reservations: No. Parking: Lot.

Adams Catfish has been our go to place for years. My husband always gets catfish (which he says is the best) but I have tried their shrimp salad too. Friendly staff and always a great lunch or dinner! Read more
