“Of Easy Rider fame”
This place is on private property. Listing for informational purposes only. Please do not visit without express permission from the land owner. Although not open anymore, the Pine Breeze Inn is a must-see for any Easy Rider fan. This roadside relic was where the brave duo attempted to spend the night before the owner lit the "no vacancy" sign... The Pine Breeze Inn was a campground (catering to bikers, of course), but today it looks as though nothing inhabits the Pine Breeze Inn. Grab your motorcycle and snap a couple pictures. Don't forget to ride off yelling, "You asshole!" The Pine Breeze Inn is the first famous Icon from the movie Easy Rider. This is where after leaving Ballarat California, Wyatt and Billy Rode till dark, almost to flagstaff where they asked for room at the pine breeze, and the proprietor immediately walked back in and turned on the no vacancy sign. They left, and billy shouted “you asshole!”, to head down route 66 a little further and camp by the road at some old ruined shacks. The pine breeze inn is still somewhat famous. For years bikers we’re still allowed to camp there, where the hero’s of easy rider we’re denied. It’s still alive, and in Bellemont Arizona. The famous NO VACANCY Sign has been altered somewhat since 1969 when Easy Rider was made, and it’s hanging at the entrance of the bar just a short distance down the street, still flashing no more rooms for hippies.
Looks like the place is an active RV park again, but it was hard to tell if they're accepting short-term campers. Cool photo op for an Easy Rider fan like me. Local landscaping company on site was super friendly. Well worth a stop. Of course, hit up the biker bar up the street to see the No Vacancy sign!
Ran by this site one day and it was cool before I knew it was in the Easy Rider movie. That kicks it up a notch!
