Founded in 1905 and headquartered in Belleville, Illinois, the St. Clair County Historical Society (STCCHS) dedicates itself and its efforts to the legacy of the oldest county in Illinois. The STCCHS endeavors to educate the communites that we serve on their history and heritage through exhibits at our two museums and our publications. The STCCHS engages in the preservation of artifacts that help tell the diverse and intriguing story of St. Clair County, its communities and its people. The STCCHS seeks to partner with other like-minded organizations to serve our goals and our communities. The STCCHS, a not-for-profit organization, supports its goals by membership dues and private donations. The STCCHS also intends to pursue outside funding opportunities to support our mission and serve our members and our neighbors.
