Look for the signs as you get closer to this place on highway 1. It's a silent retreat, so ... shhh! You can sit on the several park benches up the hill to enjoy the view. The hermitage itself is ok and I thought the fruitcake was ok - too expensive.

This Camaldolese Benedictine monastery is one of the world's most drop-dead gorgeous monasteries. It's won worldwide renown for it's panoramic ocean vistas, and it's fruitcakes!
