Come sailing on Maine's last sailing wooden lobsterboat, the Sarah Mead! We will catch wind, laughter and maybe some lobster on your trip (it's called fishing for a reason). Seals, porpoise, lighthouses and other magnificent vessels around Boothbay Harbor are also typically visible.
What a great morning sailing with Sail Muscongus! Captain Nate and his mate were very informative about lobstering and all things sailing. It was just our family of 5 on the boat and they were infinitely patient with my two boys (8 and 10) who were energetic and filled with questions about sailing and lobsters. One got to "drive" the boat and the other got to hold a lobster. I did not feel like we were on a big commercial sail at all and enjoyed the peace and calm out on the water. It's obvious they take great pride in what they do. We met at the Spruce point inn and one of the fun perks was enjoying some of the recreational facilities at the resort after our sail. My one son this was in his top "5 days" in his life and it was certainly money well spent! Trust me...do this...you won't be disappointed!
