The park museum depicts early Florida pioneer and Seminole life at a mid-1800s trading post and Fort Chokonikla. Artifacts uncovered from the Fort Chokonikla site are on display daily Thurs. - Mon. On weekends and holidays; a video is shown at 11 a.m.; 1 p.m.; and 3 p.m. at the Visitor Center. Visitors can also take a stroll out the Visitor Center and experience the Fort Chokonikla site. VIDEO PROGRAMS: Paynes Creek Historic State Park Saturdays - Sundays; year-round 11 AM; 1 PM; 3 PM. Gain an insight into frontier life at Fort Chokonikla in 19th century Florida and the events that led up to the Third Seminole War. Located in the Visitor Center.
