“Where to get serious coffee”
This Australian-influenced shop is a gem for Prospect Heights dwellers and Brooklyn Museum visitors looking for serious coffee. Glass Shop has the distinction of being one of the first cafésin the city to offer a flat white, the stronger Australian version of a latte. Flat whites are a delight, but the espresso here is also plenty good to drink on its own. Come earlier in the day if you can, because the luscious housemade olive oil cake tends to sell out by mid-afternoon. Airy yet cozy, the space is adorned with cycling caps and imagery, Aussie condiments and a crate of oranges ready to be squeezed into juice. The highlight is the lush backyard decorated with antique doors, which acquires magical status during summer.
