Six tent sites with an extra tent site (46) activated if needed. Nice tent pads, and easy walk to bathhouse. The laundry building is right behind the tent area and has an outdoor wash sink for dishes.

Great family camp ground! Huge playground with timber fort structure. The goat petting pen and feed was a lot of fun for the kids too. And the white water tubing! WARNING: this is intense water at the campground, difficult to put out at the exit location.

Bathhouse showers were cleaned daily and nice. Each bath station had it's own shower, sink and toilet. Showers were okay, at most they reached mild warm.

Each tent site had a picnic table and fire ring with iron grid. The tables were well weathered, so table cloth is needed. We had the extra site, 46, and I think it was the best. There was one day of flooding rain, even flooded part of nearby Bryson City. Site 46, 48 and 49 did not flood - unfortunately the other sites did flood, with the tent pads holding water. One guy's tent was even floating. Again, this was unusual weather that had not occurred for years in this area, so any given normal day this may not be a concern which site you are at.

You are just 1 mile from Deep Creek National Park, Smokey Mountains. Incredible hikes, beautiful waterfalls - day use is free. And I would recommend tubing at the park with younger kids. More gentle put outs at the national park. You are also 2 miles from Bryson City, good food - would recommend Anthony's for great pizza! Smokey Mountain train rides and lots of little shops. Beyond Bryson City, so much available.

This was a great family spot. We spent most of our time at Deep Creek, tubing and wading. Had some fun hikes, nice train ride and a couple of stops at Anthony's for pizza.

Challenges: water is not easily accessible for tent campers, we brought our own drinking water. Tubing put out is challenging at campground.

Mountain air is fresh and cool. Best sleep I have had in years! Incredible, beautiful and comfortable environment!

Located just outside Deep Creek national park the campground has cabins(that can sleep up to 10), shower house, laundry, gem mining for the kids(and adults), country store, playgrounds, tent camping and tube rentals for the creek. We stayed in site 1 creek side for 5 days and then moved to site 30 Mountain View side for 4 Nights. Creek side is very peaceful just keep an eye on the kiddos. Mountain View is backed up to an open field with wonderful views on fire flies at night time. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Tube rentals can get busy during season. Grocery store is 5 minutes in town. Take the local great Smokey mountain train for a scenic tour around the mountains. Nanthala brewing company is in down town Bryson as well.

This was a beautifully kept campground. Everything was very well-maintained and quite attractive. We were particularly impressed with the gorgeous assortment of old original Appalachian cabins. Clearly, these owners take great pride in their home and campground. It is quite a nice sanctuary.

In mid-September, all the residents were quiet and respectful. The office was courteous and seemed to be very well-provisioned.

There were not many kids when we were there, but it is a paradise for them. Playgrounds, forts, pirate ships, baby goats, tubing. The riverside site #10 had a boundary wall on one side and gave us some beautiful privacy. The river was gorgeous and we had birdsong all day. Most of the campground had large shady trees around.

We extended our stay and had to move to site 28 which was less private, being right in the center of an larger RV area, but it was still peaceful. Plenty of room on all sides.

The only complaint we had was that the septic hookup was higher than our trailer outflow.

Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a week, working and schooling remotely. The campground is very clean and well maintained. We stayed in the sites on the creek side, but we weren’t directly on the creek. During the week it was peaceful and quiet, but it did get louder and busier on the weekend. If we come again, we would likely stay on the Mountain View side instead of the creek side. The sites weren’t large, but we found them to be of a typical size for a commercial park. Some of the sites on the creek side were a little tight to get a big rig in and out of. The sites have picnic tables and fire rings, but no charcoal grills.

We had a good experience with our ATT cell service here. No problem working during the week. The campground WiFi was also better than typical campground WiFi and it was usable most of the time.

The location is great - only a few minutes from both Bryson City and the park entrance at Deep Creek. There is lots of stuff for the kids to do - playgrounds, huge wooden fort, a baskeball goal, volleyball court. There are also goats that the kids wanted to go see every day. It looks like there would be even more to do in the warm months, but it was a little chilly for tubing in October.

If we were to stay here again we would stay on the Mountain View side, creek side sites were very tight. We had 3 bars of service which allowed us to work remotely.
