The mission of the museum is to collect, preserve, exhibit and provide access to information and artifacts relating to firefighting in Buffalo, New York, the Buffalo Fire Department, fire safety and prevention; and to teach the public about these goals. The museum continues to maintain and expand its collection of artifacts and information about firefighting in Buffalo, New York and the Buffalo Fire Department.
