Center Grove Orchard, owned and operated by the Larry D. and Pat Black Family, has been open to the public since 1994. We planted our first apple trees in 1986 and now have over 18 acres with 6,000 apple trees and 31 varieties of apple.
Our family has mixed feelings on this place. It is a money trap. If you go here especially with kids and do the whole experience you will spend a lot. It is $13 per person for farm admission which includes all the fun stuff kids want to do: look at animals, corn pool, jumping pillows, hay maze, corn maze, combine slide, tube slides, hay ride, etc. If you want to do the apple sling shot it costs extra. If you feed the animals it cost extra. If you want to do the CGO little trolley train it is an extra $3 a person. It was a lot of fun for the kids and everything is nice and well cared for. They have a lot of little food shacks and then a big store with a coffee shop and bakery with all stuff they make with their apples. Over all, it's a nice place but it's overpriced.
Our Family loves the Center Grove Orchard! It has become an annual outing for us and everyone is always pumped to go! We have 9 grandbabies ranging from age 2 months to 15. All the grandkids have a blast as well our kids, us as parents and my mother. It is clean and well supervised. Great food, fresh fruits and fixings. Tons of fun activities for all ages.Plan to spend the whole day! You will love it! Becky
