“try the Kryptonite Drink!”
The Superman Museum in Carterville on Rte 66 is fun. Loaded with stuff, good ice cream, the Kryptonite drink, Larry, and his brother make this a stop worth taking the time for.
Stopped with my 8 year old. Got him a "Kryptonite Delight" and played the Superman arcade game. Nice for a short stop. Small soda/Ice cream shop FILLED with Superman memorabilia. Opened 3-9 on Saturdays.
Oops Sundays!
We were super excited for this one!! Sad it was closed, I’m sure due to COVID :/ sad day! Will try back again!
We drove out of our way on a Saturday evening, arrived at 5:30 PM and it was closed down. Very disappointing.
Fun, funky little place. My kids enjoyed peeking at all the vintage paraphernalia and loved getting their pictures with some of the stand ups.
It was a few days ago that we went but I think the coordinates were wrong. It felt like it took us to a run down neighborhood. I was able to Google the correct place (It's actually called Super Tam) and it was worth it. Loads and loads of Superman memorabilia and some other DC characters, including Batman and Supergirl.
