Oak Island Lighthouse

Public "no reservation required" free tours to the second level (NOT to the Top) are offered every Wednesday and Saturday ONLY starting Memorial Day and running through Labor Day from 10 AM until 2 PM. Visitors can climb just 1 level (12 steps) for anyone age 7 and older where a guide will give you information about the lighthouse and answer any questions you may have. The Oak Island Lighthouse 5k, 10k & 1/2 marathon courses showcase the best scenery on the North Carolina Coast . What other course can you see salt marshes, the Atlantic Ocean, wide beautiful beaches, ruins of a historic fort, and have a Lighthouse as a cheerleader - beckoning you to the finish?
