“Take Pictures of the Picturesque Falls!”
A picturesque 167 foot waterfall is the main attraction of Chittenango Falls State Park! Glacial sculpting over 400 million year-old bedrock is responsible for this scenic feature. An interesting variety of both plants and wildlife may be found along the trails. Visitors can view the falls from the top, walk the winding trail into the gorge view the falls from the footbridge and return to the top along the small trail on the opposite side of the gorge. Activities include fishing, hiking and picnicking.
A beautiful waterfall! The river is pretty as well. However the "trails" (if you can even call them that) are pretty lackluster. We went in the morning and there were only two other people there! Hiking boots or sneakers are appropriate but there is no need to allow a large amount of time to see this state park, as it is small.
Found this quite by accident driving along route 13 to Cazenovia! Absolutely beautiful place to stop!
Lovely everyday escape! Hike around the beautiful trails which lead you within nature.
A great amount of plants and birds can be seen all around and the views you get by walking at the scenic footbridge are one in a million.
The water elements will bring serenity to your mind and allow you relax.
Great like everyone describes but there's a chance the path will be closed. So you may need to be creative to get down.
