“Serving Dayton-style pizza”
Marion's Piazza is proud of our success and our mission is driven daily by our customer. Marion's years of success just didn't happen. The tireless guidance of our founder, Marion Glass. Marion's Piazza has been serving award winning pizzas, giant sandwiches and other Italian specialties in a relaxing "old Italian courtyard" atmosphere for over 45 years. Marion developed a thin crust pizza (now often referred to as "Dayton Style" pizza). By using only the finest ingredients on his pizzas, sandwiches, pastas and salads, Marion's Piazza soon became a Dayton favorite! To date, Marion's Piazza has been voted "Dayton's Best Pizza" in over 32 local newspaper and magazine surveys and has been rated "Second In The Nation of Independent Pizza Establishments" in Pizza Today Magazine. Over the years, Marion's has grown to nine locations in the Dayton area. Since dine-in has always been king at Marion's (the nine locations seat between 275 to over 500 each), the restaurants have been a gathering place for sports teams, birthday celebrations, reunions, graduation parties and anniversary celebrations.
I can't say enough for Marion's Piazza. I grew up in Dayton and really took it for granted as a staple of my childhood cuisine. Very thin crust but the toppings are piled high. If you're looking for a recommendation: Marion's Super Cheese.
Interesting fact: Dayton used to be a hotbed for theatrical performances and, as such, Marion himself would host tons of passing-through talent at various Marion's locations. Photographic proof adorns the walls of every Marion's Piazza--including the saddest picture of Vincent Price you'll ever see!
if you ask any person from dayton what there favorite pizza is, they will tell you its marion's. smart answer, thats because marion's is hands down the best pizza in town. if it wasn't for dayton being, well, dayton, marion's could possibly even be one of the biggest in ohio! but for now, it will remain a delicious local gem to those who roam the 937.
This is not really my favorite pizza. But locals seem to like it. Really like it. On that basis, you should probably give it a shot and keep your mind open. You have to order the pizza in one line and get your drinks in another. No one questions it. I guess it just is.
First time going here while visiting my MIL - what the heck did we eat, the last 15 years? SO glad to have found this delicious pizza! And, my husband is allergic to cheese. The staff were extremely careful to use clean utensils, new gloves, and prepare and cut his pizza far away from cheese. BRAVO!
