“a place for a hot cup of joe & more!”
The Big Oak Cafe began in 2005 as an idea to offer a place for coffee and espresso drinks while shopping at The Butcher Shoppe. It quickly turned into a cafe with a full menu that includes cold drinks, sandwiches, soups, salads, breakfast items, desserts and more. Much more than an extra stop while shopping, the Big Oak Cafe is now its own destination with seating for about 60 inside and much more outside on our porch and patio in nice weather. The Big Oak Cafe has become one of Chambersburg’s most popular coffee shops and lunch and dessert spots. And when you visit us, you’ll quickly see why! So, browse our menu, come and see us and enjoy some great tastes in a fantastic and unique atmosphere. Feel free to eat and run or stay all day. You’d never know it, but the Big Oak Cafe is surrounded by The Butcher Shoppe, a family owned and operated fresh food market and specialty grocer since 1977. Make the trip right next door to experience and incredible selection of freshly prepared soups, salads and baked goods, huge displays of fresh meat, poultry and seafood, impressive produce, a full scale deli and all kinds of interesting grocery selections.
