“A Piece of History”
The Dinsmore House is an historic bed and breakfast inn located in the heart of Charlottesville, Virginia. The home, built by Thomas Jefferson’s master builder in 1817, is at the University of Virginia and a half a mile from Charlottesville’s Historic Downtown Mall. The Dinsmore Hou se B&B is less than five miles from Jefferson’s Monticello, and within a short drive of a dozen wineries. The boutique inn has eight guestrooms, each distinctly decorated, for a unique lodging experience within walking distance of UVA. There are hundreds of merchant shops, restaurants and entertainment options nearby. Please explore the packages page for vineyards, golf, hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains and more. Our three-day itinerary provides innkeeper recommendations for Central Virginia excursions.
