“The Home of Chicago’s Tapas King”
Emilio’s Tapas is known as “The Home of Chicago’s Tapas King”. Opened in 1988 in Hillside Illinois in a time when people didn’t know much about Spain and its food. Chef Emilio Gervilla soon won over the crowds and 26 yrs later he still greets his guests at the door and he can also be seen making his way to the tables to personally thank his guests for joining him. Here at Emilio’s Tapas Restaurants we have become known for our Signature dishes, from our legendary Paellas, to our Patatas con Alioli (garlic potato salad) and lets not forget our Datiles con Tocino (bacon wrapped dates). In 1999 Chef Emilio opened our Sister Restaurant Emilio's Tapas Sol y Nieve in the Streeterville neighborhood in Chicago located conveniently between Chicago’s Magnificent Mile Shopping and Navy Pier. Our menu consists of regional Spanish specialties, original dishes created by Chef Emilio offered in both the dining room and bar for lunch and dinner daily. Both restaurants are casual with spacious dining rooms and an energetic atmosphere accentuated by colorful Spanish murals, music and tiles. Both indoor and patio seating (weather permitting) can be offered during business hours. We welcome you to visit the restaurant.
